Some site owners claim that you should not publish any articles that you have written for publication within your blog.
Why not?
If you have written a good article on the theme of you blog, but much broader, then why not publish or link to it from your blog. Is not the purpose of a blog to post the best content possible?
Why should I link to someone else’s mediocre article when I have a much better one published somewhere on the Internet. This does not make sense to me.
I have only been publishing for a short period of time. Already, I have had two articles on Ezinearticles.com that were published on there high traffic home page. One of my answers to a question on Yahoo’s answers was voted the best answer of the week. My Mother always told me that I should not boast but why should this material that is considered by others to be OK not appear somewhere within my blog?
Are we all not looking for top quality content? Every Guru says that we need to fill our posts with quality content. If others think that your content is good enough for their home page, then why NOT use it yourself.
Yes, I am going to use my own published articles within my blog. I have a section titled ‘Articles’ on the Menu Bar. In there I have created a section ‘My published Articles’ where I will list my publications. I have another section further down the page ‘Articles by other Authors’. I am going to take whatever credit comes my way, which is why I did not lump my articles in with others.
Any way, I got that off my chest.
If you would like to read the articles that Ezinearticles.com published on their home page, please do so.
