I am a firm believer in Traditional Medicine but I also believe that if Traditional Medicine fails then one has the right and duty to try Alternative Medicines. We all want to live as long as possible and in as much comfort as possible.
There is a large group of people out there who have been diagnosed with bladder cancer and other forms of cancer where Traditional Medicine has failed to put them into remission. Personally, I do not feel that I have been cured of cancer even though no cancer has been detected since my Chemotherapy treatment, eight years ago. I have had one round of dealing with a very aggressive cancer. Surgery and Chemotherapy was the method used to put me into remission for that particular cancer. Does this mean that I will NEVER develop another type of cancer for example, lung cancer, colon cancer? Absolutely NOT. I am just as vulnerable to other forms of cancer as I was prior to my Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is targeted to different types of cancer. One Chemotherapy substance may work very well for one form of cancer in a particular organ but work very poorly in another. One may be a target chemotherapy other a broad spectrum.

Too many cancer patients feel that since they now have cancer that preventative methods are no longer warranted. ‘Prevention will not do me any good since I now have cancer’. I think that this is WRONG. PREVENTION is good at most stages of this disease. Yes, I know that some of us are diagnosed after our body is riddled with this disease. Many organs have been attacked and are being destroyed. The prognosis is not good but having chemotherapy or radiation just might give a few more years. It is worth trying something. Giving up is not the answer. If at all possible some prevention methods should be started to help give yourself this fighting chance.
So what can I NOW do to help prevent any further bouts with a different type of cancer?
- Control my weight
- Stop smoking
- Eat a better diet
- Exercise more
- Build up body strength
- Build up my Immune System
- Change my attitude
- And many more things that will promote better health.
I will speak more to the above in future posts.

You nailed a huge when you mentioned “Change my attitude.”
Every time we think something with passion and feeling, we’re creating a neurological pathway and the hypothalamus sens messages to other glands that produce hormones that actually give our cells “directives” so to speak.
We can literally “think” ourselves ill. The same is true for wellness!
Thanks for creating this list of alternatives for those who believe in “hope.”

Thanks for this eye opening insight for our future health. Unfortunately too many people believe diseases such as; Cancer, Diabetes will ever happen to them Until they are diagnosed with
either or both diseases. The scary fact is look around you how many people do you know or have heard about that has acquired either cancer or diabetes. Cancer is all too common today, more than it should be. when people start taking better care of their bodies & minds, concerning their diet, addictions, lifestyle, etc. They will not only feel better, but look better also. Please, spreading this Great & Wonderful message of yours to the whole world.
Thank-You, Fonda
Dear friend, I think all of us can auto-heal if we want, we have the power to cure all sicknes in our body, but if you think you’re not capable of doing this, there’s no medicine or treatment can cure your problem. All is in your mind
Attitude in dealing with this disease is the best help there is and it’s difficult to keep upbeat when going through this. You write a informative, positive blog. I love it! Denise
